Seven years after signing on to become the New York Islanders general manager, Garth Snow has greatly improved a much-maligned franchise — plus give a bunch of former Bears jobs (Capuano, Dunham, Pellerin).
Snow, finally out of the horrid DiPietro contract (Sucks to BU), can focus more on rebuilding and actually keeping rising stars. Remember, the Islanders once had Ziggy Palffy, Roberto Luongo, Zdeno Chara and Todd Bertuzzi.
The 1993 national champion has inked three of the Isles top players through at least the 2016 season: Kyle Okposo, Josh Bailey and John Tavares.
